Another scene from my book Last Train to Brisbane is this one taken at Wyreema, about 20 minutes south of Toowoomba, Queensland. The station may be long gone, but the original surviving tree inspired the accompanying poem in the book. Wyreema may now be just a ghost station, but back in World War II, up to 20 troop trains passed through daily.
